Bart Van den Bosch is the CIO of the university hospitals of K. U. Leuven, Belgium. This is a 2000 bed teaching hospital. His main interests are clinical workstations, hospital workflow automation, integration, hospital information systems and data modelling.
He also teaches medical informatics at K. U. Leuven.
He is a member of the Belgian national commission for telematics which has an advisory role to the federal government of Belgium. He participates in the working groups “security”, “hospital”, and “networks”.
Bart is a member of the BeHealth vision group. BeHealth will be the central platform of the national program for telematics in Belgium.
