Data protection in hospitals
This lecture focuses on the specifics of security measures in a hospital.
On the one hand, health data are more sensitive than financial data, but, on the other hand, a hospital needs to be very open compared to a bank. Many non-employees are constantly on the premises. Another difference is that sharing of the medical is necessary to allow transmural care, whereas financial data mostly do not leave the bank. These requirements present serious security challenges.
