The web is full of request forgery attacks, such as CSRF, SSRF, and Clickjacking. In this session, we provide actionable guidance on mitigating these issues in modern applications.
Abstract
The web is full of request forgery attacks! Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF), allows an attacker to trick a user into submitting a transaction they never intended to. Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) tricks your servers into making additional requests they never intended to. Clickjacking is a way to trick users into taking action and entering data into one site while another is collecting those events.
This technical session discusses the issues behind these attacks, and investigates a wide range of defensive strategies, such as nonce tokens, SameSite cookies, and the double-submit cookie pattern.
